Teacher's Seminar 2026-2027

Teacher’s Seminar was conducted on 13th June 2026 in Secondary Section Auditorium at 8.30 am. The resource person for the seminar was Mr. John Tamang. He is a Coach, Trainer, Speaker and consultant with over 25 years of experience in leadership, development, people management, behavioral excellence and performance improvement. Apart form his cooperate experience, Mr. John has been invited by schools, colleges and professional institutions as a guest speaker and trainer.

Theme – “From Pressure to Purpose”. The seminar was just not a training but it made us to take a pause, reflect, recharge and rediscover ourselves. The session was based on teacher’s voice and not theory. As a teacher we need to understand students we need to connect to them. This seminar allowed us that our students will remember teachers for their love and understanding. Students will never forget their teachers. A teacher should be able to detach themselves from students. Detachment is not giving up. It means serving sincerely without becoming emotionally trapped. Today’s students need teachers to understand them because they are pressurized by competition they are distracted by devices, confused about future, they are hungry for attention and belonging. Every behaviour tells a story. The teacher’s question why is the child troubling me instead what does this behaviour trying to tell me? Will be the right step towards our students. As a teacher it is our duty to correct mistakes of a student but before correcting we need to get connected to students. Every teacher should remember that relationship and connection are not soft skills; they are the foundation of learning and influence.

As a teacher we should always appreciate and encourage students. Instead of aiming for perfection teacher should be consistent in her efforts.

The seminar was indeed thought provoking. It would definitely help teachers to upgrade themselves for upcoming academic year. It is rightly said, “A great teacher inspires hope, ignites the imagination and instills, love of learning.”
